Speed Settings don't work

I always felt that my cricut cut at a decent speed when I first starting using SCAL2. Then I noticed that it actually had a speed setting - and didn't really ever touch it. Now, I feel like my cricut cuts extremely slow when using SCAL2 and the speed setting does nothing for me. I've search the forum for answers and can't seem to find a solution - does anyone have any suggestions?

If your image contains a lot of nodes it will cut slow...

Try cutting something simple like an image from the SCAL library. Change you speed setting for each time you cut the shape to see if the speed settings are working. This isn't a known defect so hopefully this will work for you.
Like Jo-Anne said, some things just cut reeeally slow anyway.
