Will SCAL work on the new CAKE machine?

Not sure because the two working together is based on the firmware. I know SCAL will work on up to 2.3 firmware and am not sure what the firmware is for the Cake.

According to my friend who bought a Cricut Cake, the firmware is already good to go. She said she just plugged in and took off with it.
