I open the file, but its so huge you can't shrink it.way off the 12x24 mat. Bought svg from scrapchick.com

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

If you opened it in SCAL just use the resize boxes on the right hand side of your mat..

I did that at the small sz, that didnt work. I even tried other files that I just used an hr ago and same thing happened, wish I didnt do update.

Did you update to the most recent version (2.011d for Windows) or one of the earlier versions?

It opened fine, filled 12x6 mat screen
Anything else I open is to big for 12x24 mat, I even put number on sz 10.00, just not working. Everytime I update I have problems.....Never got reply from support

When you look at Edit, Preferences in SCAL what items are checked in the boxes?

Also, do you have 90 Inkscape showing or 72 Adobe?

I'm thinking that maybe your settings got changed during the update for svg files since the scut files are loading fine.

(I remember having a problem several months ago that was fixed by changing to 90 Inkscape in the preferences section, but I can't remember what the specific problem was.)
