I was cutting a mesh file that I got on this site when half way through, I realized that
I had not clicked the weld button. I pressed Stop on my Cricut machine and then
Cancel in the Scal program. Now, no matter what I do, it won't let me cut that file.
It runs through the steps on Scal and then says "cutting has ended". I tried re-booting
my computer, changing the name of the file, disconnecting my Cricut machine.

Any other suggestions? I really want to cut this file!!

which mesh file... maybe we can weld it for you.. and repost... and then you have a new file...

You have two different options. She attached a corrected svg two posts down from the original and you can download and use that one, or you can import the one that you have into SCAL2, use Object/Break apart, Control A (select all), and then Path/Union. HTH
