One more stupid question from me... How do you get the font you want? I click on the one in the library that I want to use and when I go to type it'll jump to a font that begins with whatever letter I'm typing. What am I doing wrong?

You don't type the font.. You have to click on letter on the keyboard display on the computer screen to get the letter you want on the design board. Someone else thought the same thing you did.... I hope this explains it ..

Should have said click with your mouse... on the letter or font.. or dingbat that you want to be on the design screen..

I select the font I want and then I can do either - I can either type it in or click on the letter on the keyboard.

I have version 1.004.

That's interesting.. How do you choose a dingbat or is it only letters you can type in.. Do I need to do a SCAL uodate? I thought I had the latest versoin of SCAL.

Dingbats are 'assigned' letter locations. They appear as dingbats on the virtual keyboard so I can see them there & click on them there or, if I know what alpha letter it is then I can just click on the computer keyboard.

Do you have version 1.004?

Shari.. How do I find out what version of SCAL I have. I looked to find it because I know I saw it once but can't remember what it said. Also it was the same place where Todd has the updated. I didn't do it because I thought I had the latest.

What you say makes sense, but my keyboard only has rectangles on it, no matter what font from the library I call up. When I click on the various letters, all I get are rectangles on the mat........NEVER MIND...... I figured out that if you scroll down on the keyboard, the letters are there. Wish those little boxes could be made bigger

Click on Help then About to see the version you have installed. You can also see the version number when you first start SCAL.

Thanks for that Info..I have version !.004. and I tried the keyboard and it worked to type on it and also the back space button worked which I just tried yesterday and it didn't work.. I guess I got updated without doing anything..LOL
