Craft Edge

This has probably been posted before but I just got the program today and tried my first cut as it was cutting there was a diolog screen that says cutting with cricut...
then a green bar below -- it stopped in the middle and says checking mat.... did it freeze???

My first guess is that your computer can't communicate with your Cricut machine.

That can be caused by a number of things.

Make sure the USB is firmly plugged in a port on your computer and not plugged into your keyboard.

Try doing an update on your Cricut firmware using the trial version of Design Studio to see if that will fix the problem. Turn computer off and back on again then try cutting something.

If those don't fix the problem, make sure you have activated your Sure Cuts A Lot software through the Craft Edge site.

And if none of the above suggestions fix the problem, please post what operating system you have on your computer, what update number on Sure Cuts A Lot your using and the firmware number from your Cricut so we can try to help you.

The green bar is just showing that your cutter is cutting... If the bar reaches the end that means your image has finished cutting.. if it stops part way through before it reaches the end yes it froze...

Thanks for the help! Yup it just froze I tried cutting the same image after and it worked just fine. Thanks for your responses!
