Craft Edge

I have been working on this for hours!! I am trying to make this .jpg of superman a layered .svg file. I can get it to trace and then ungroup but the layers don't seem right and I don't see how they would cut correctly! I am working on a MacBook and I do have SCAL2 if that makes any difference.

I am attaching the file I am trying to convert.

I am not proficient in doing this in SCAL... but in inkscpace I am using 0.46 and not the newest version of 0.47


Attached is my try at it.

I traced the jpg and got an outline, and traced again to get the black background. then I used the paint bucket to fill in the areas.

I did have to play with a few of the areas to get it look right (the S, the hands and the face.)

It's that paint bucket part I didn't know about.

I have inkscape 0.46 too. I heard it was better than 0.47 so I downloaded that version.
