Sorry for the possibly dumb question, but what exactly are layers as it pertains to SCAL? Are they different pieces of an image that show up on the virtual mat to cut? I have never done digital scrapping and I am brand new to SCAL. TIA!

Hi Kim - I am more of a visual person and sometimes have a hard time describing things but I will give it a try...
You can set up different layers within one SCAL file. You can choose to cut/view/lock one layer at a time. Or you can view all at once to make sure everything is sized properly and lined up.
