I hope this hasn't been addressed - I have been searching for so long, I forget where I have been! In short, I want to take photos and piece them into scrapbooks. I saw this
amazing project, and have been trying to figure out how to do it with my own photos.

I've never tried photos before.
I'm guessing that it's a matter of scanning them & tracing them in inkscape, but with a bit of tweaking in inkscape.
I didn't look too long at that blog you linked, but can you post a question to her on her blog about how she did it?
eta: Ok, just did a very quick try. I opened a photo in inkscape & did a quick trace--it works!! Like I said, you'll just need to tweak the image/file here & there to get it to work well.

I also am new to this Inkscape and wanted to try photo work and man it is great if you have a black and white photo. I did this and I have to say it came out really cool looking.
