well i have scal and use it with inkscape and love it i have no intention of changing to mtc i tried the trial version and it was disappointing could only cope with very simple tracing and if you wanted more complicated stuff you still had to go to either inkscape or another programme before the mtc program would even make some kind of tracing and not necessarily one you could use. Love scal and the new update makes it more awesome still.

This thread has been interesting to read. I only heard about MTC two weeks ago. I don't have SCAL 2 (yet) but I am learning inkscape and how to break apart and some other things. I just didn't think the software would be MORE that what I have now. I have found this board also very welcoming with learning and sharing files. And this is also another positive for SCAL.
