LOL You should see the confusion on the sewing, knitting, crochet (normal & tunisian), spinning, weaving and embroidery groups
I think in the end, guys just take it as "yeah, they mean us too" ROFLMAO

and I am a female in a male dominated work force.
I hear "guys" and "gentlemen" all the time....
And I too laugh and say to myself "not the last time I looked"

Nice sense of humor everyone. I'll add to it from another perspective. I teach high school and was just informed that a "senior citizen" is anyone over 55, are taking meds and need a walker. So asked them, does this mean I get to retire?

I guess "guys" can just mean everyone (as in. you guys crack me up!)
ooh, retire at 55.... mind you that was the norm at one point
