Now I haven't tried this (yet) but it would make sense to me to keep all elements of the flower as one .svg file. As one file all the elements would therefore be in proportion to one another. Prior to saving the elements in Inkscape you could move the elements around your work surface to separate them by color. Then, when importing into SCAL, you can see on your "virtual" cutting mat where those elements will cut therefore just place your various paper where you need it for that individual element.

I've had a bit of a stressful day today (DS is in the hospital) so I can't get to this until later tonight but just thought I'd share my thoughts on the issue at this time so maybe someone can do a trial run and see what happens.

It looks like she has 3 'groups' of elements (i.e. 3 .svg imported files). In SCAL you can click on the 'group' to resize but you can't click on the individual element within the group.

I agree w/ your other post about saving them all as one file as you mentioned.

hope your son is better soon! sorry to hear he's in the hospital!

I have used print screen in vista.

You do have to click img on the top of your response to get it into the post

but print screen does work, i don't even know what a snipping tool is
