You actually got it right the first time, the decal should end up looking like this, without the app tape:



Black being vinyl and white being the carrier sheet.

My cutter also has a a pen holder, so I will try to reproduce the error on paper while looking at the margins.

I might try messing with the baud rate and download software to get a usb port as a virtual com port and see how it works.
