Susan,
If you want to put markers in where the blade goes, you have to use Barbie markers. <very big grin> You are too funny. Thanks for sharing your aha moment so we can all feel a little better about our our own "denseness." Gotta love papasue :)

Don't mean to hijack this thread, but can anyone tell me what font was used for the word "joy" in the picture? I have been looking for a font like that forever!
Thanks so much!

The font used for the word joy looks like the Opposites Attract cartridge.

If you are looking for a computer font. CK Cursive is very close. It is usually in the $3 range at scrapnfonts, etc.

OK, I took the plunge. I found two kinds of Sharpie pens at Office Max (at the counter, not on the wall just like someone else said). There was a regular mini and a micro mini. I took the micro assuming that it would really draw fine lines. Both were .99 cents each. Not bad I guess.

After fooling around a bit I finally got it installed at the correct depth (or at least a depth that prints without dragging or missing the paper). I'm a :D camper.

I did take a marker to draw a line on the pen whilst it was still in the carrier to make it easier to put in correctly next time.

OR, perhaps I'll get my Baby Bug back from my daughter-in-law and just use one color of pen all of the time and never have to change, until the ink runs out of course. ;) ;)

Thanks to all for the help and patience with my ramblings.

Hi--my first post--pls. help--I tried to use the mini-Sharpie markers as suggested, with foam grips over the pen (very hard to get on-used WD-40) and I can't get the grip down enough to get held by the holder(forced over top end). Then I tried getting up from inky end; can't.
Can anyone advise what to do? (admit to ordering expensive Cricut markers, but would love not to have wasted $ on Sharpies, grips.
Thanks to all for the wonderful sharing and tips--I have been so helped by them.

daisy,
As you found out, the foam grips are too small to fit around the sharpies. I use the gel grips instead (kinda like gummies). What you can do is just split the foam grip lengthwise and put it around the sharpie. It might not be perfectly centered but other than that should work fine.

I use the small sharpies, Gelpens and small pencil crayons with the pencil holders. I like the gel holders myself. I play a lot with all sorts
