New Cutters - What do you use & please share pros and cons

I bought a Silhouette SD when it was on sale last month and absolutely LOVE IT! I am a card maker and not a scrapper so the smaller cutting size works fine for my needs. The Silhouette cuts finely detailed files beautifully.

There are pros and cons to every machine. The main thing is t know how much you are willing to spend and what you plan on using the Machines for. I started out with the Provo Craft Expression had it almost a year with out even using it hated the carts really hated the limited use then found Scal started using the E but even with scal and the E still was not complete Bought the Us cutter MH-871 and that and using inkscape and signcut and other programs I was able to cut larger items much larger but the machine can cut paper and ceral weight materials also the Machine is large and not portable but for large vynil cuts is great this machine is noisy to some extent but not as bad as the gazelles noise this I found out after purchasing the gazelle. Then bought the gazelle and used the funtime software did not care for funtime but heck it came with the machine, it cuts fine but not to the standards I had expected out of the machine but we all have our own opion on every machine used this machine about 3 months before veturing for a new machine and this time bought a 18" Black Cat Cougar machine while this machine is a larger machine it is also a high end more industial quality and is making it's way into the home use market it works with scal3 and the other competers software and also it uses inkscape and sign cut if you wish and come soon they will have a software built and ready for use with these machines also. This machine has handled everything I have put it to the test with and can cut as small as being able to make a tiny pair of shoes that fit on a dime I made them with in the first day of having the machine and cuts the full 18" width. Love this Machine the best of all and the sound it makes is very quiet for a machine like this far more quiet than the gazelle and the MH cutter. but remember to keep in mind is what you expect to do with the machine and how much you can afford.

I'm still waiting for SCAL for the Sizzix eclips, it is less costly than others and has a bunch of features that look really interesting. Since it is now Nov 1, we should be hearing about the release very soon ( I hope) as CE projected end of October.
