Re: SCALAPALOOZA
I'll be happy to do some research on locations/pricing,etc. - but probably need to have an idea of how many might be interested and a date to shoot for before sending too many inquiries. The number of people will dictate what type of facility we can look at and most places the prices vary depending on dates.

Wouldn't that be nice!
Maybe Niagra Falls or Toronto so friends to the north might come...just a suggestion, ...other stuff to do than just scrapping.
I don't know that I could make it there, though.
Near to an airport might be good.

Maureen, it all sounds absolutely wonderful until you get to the airfare part.maureen59 wrote:Well we have this wonderful hotel just down the road from us, in an old castle. seats lots of people, food is just wonderful, scenery is breathtaking, patrons are warm and friendly, and Air Fare to the UK is astronomical.....so guess you guys wont be coming here lol!![]()

The B&B sounds like a great idea. What kind of scrapbook stores are in the area?
Last year there were 6 of us. It was near the beginning of June. As far as when this year? Not sure, but it would be best when there is no chance of snow. Personally, I'm finding that June is already getting pretty well booked up.

LOL I wouldn't count on it, but you are always welcome to plan your own SCALAPALOOZA. People who want to get together in other parts of the country (world) are welcome to plan their own events.

Re: SCALAPALOOZA
Have to get ready for work now but I am off tomorrow - I'll do some research and share what I find out here. Between my daughter and some of my DH's family who lives in the Indy area, I'm sure I can get some info. My daughter and I would both come - she's not on the forum but she is a SCAL user. If anyone else thinks they could make it to somewhere in the Indy area - post here along with a weekend that would work for you and I'll see what I can come up with.

Great Idea! I've got a few ideas floating around in my head as well. I hope we have some other users who might be interested - this sounds like a lot of fun!

I will help to keep this to the top along with the Valentine Challenge...still more pages there to fill...have to complete #3 for sure!
Re: SCALAPALOOZA
T-shirts mean Artwork. I think there is enough talent on this board to come up with an idea or two.

Well, it has got to incorporate the word that you came up with 'SCALAPALOOZA' and a COOOOOOOOL font.
And the year.
I nominate you and Heather for font work...you are the two smartest people in the world, I bet, who know about fonts.
