If you set the stroke around text in Inkscape you need to convert the stroke to cutting lines. Do this by selecting your text and from the menu use Path/Stroke to path. HTH

i have scal 2.

i have been playing with it and i did get what i was trying to do done using outset instead of a stroke, but the outset didn't give as crisp results as the stroke did.

this was what i was trying to use at first but i could never get the stroke to open up/ be recognized in SCAL2



this is what i ended up with by using outset. not exactly the same but i guess it will be ok. is there a setting i can change to get the outset to be "sharp" like the other?

how do i post the SCAL file?

Mike right below the box where you type in your post message is the option to attach a file. You can attach the SCAL file there. Be sure to add file, you don't need to place inline like you do with a png or jpg graphic
