Faux Aliligator Skin Wallet

Post by Craigg64 »

Hi

Put this together for either a male birthday or father's day
Used the faux alligator skin technique from here
http://jackietopa.typepad.com/addicted_ ... gator.html

I used a velcro dot to hold the clasp

Enjoy
:)

The SVG is available at the bottom of the original post.
You should be able to get the dimensions from that.
I also noticed that I left some extra objects in the SVG. You only need the 3 pieces on the page, you can ignore the others :)

I cut the file in scal with the font set to 11.5

Hope that helps

If you need more assistance I am more than willing to help

Open the wallet is 8.5" long (approx 215mm), excluding the little flap, x 3.5" wide (approx 90mm)
As I mentioned earlier if you set you SCAL font to 11.5 it will import into SCAl at the correct size.

Hope that helps.

I got those measurements straight off the SVG. I tend to design every thing at 1:1 (full size)
I am having trouble figuring out why people are asking for the dimensions. Am I missing something? I am only a bloke after all :)
Is there something I can improve when submitting designs in the future?
I am always up for suggestions?

Cheers

Hi there thanks for the measurements I opened the svg and it went off the 12x12 mat and I had to view the 12x24
the wallet pieces came up 4.5"wide x1.5" deep.

Hmmm that is interesting.

The pieces off the 12x12 mat are not required. They where just extra bits I forgot to delete. Sorry.

The fact that it came up with depth of 1.5" is strange.

The picture below shows the dimension directly from the svg.
