SCAL and Adobe Illustrator

Post by KylasMOM »

So I am really new to SCAL but I have been using illustrator for years so I know it pretty well. I can save an image in Illustraor as an .svg but when I try to open it in SCAL it is just an empty box. Does anyone know anything about SCAL and Illustrator that can help me???? Thanks

You need to "import" svg's into SCAL not open them in SCAL, try that and see if it works :) Cheers Kris

I don't know anything about AI, but when you have an empty box in SCAL it usually is because you haven't converted your image to a vector. See if there is anything else in this post that might help. http://forums.surecutsalot.com/viewtopi ... a&start=10

I have found that when I use Illustrator I have to uncheck the box that says keep editable in Illustrator when I save svgs so they work in SCAL.

Are you drawing objects or using fonts? If you are using fonts, you will need to convert all your fonts to outlines before you save them.
