You don't need to use Inkscape or turn the font into an SVG file. Once you have installed the font in the correct place for your version of Windows (I don't have Vista so can't advise you on that), it will show up in the font list in SCAL (the same as it will show in Word or any other program you have that uses fonts). Select the font in the fonts table in SCAL, and then in the window that shows all the letters in the font, click on a letter and it will appear on your cutting mat. IHTH!
