I’ve been downloading EPS(encapsulate post script) files all day…found all kinds of cartoon characters. Then I convert them to svg by opening them in adobe illustrator and doing a save as .svg. They are made for cutters, so they seem easy to use. No bit map conversion is needed, you get nice clean lines.
To use them, I've been able to just ungroup a few times, then separate the colors. Sometimes I am left with too much detail on the "outline", Then I have to do the path>object to path , Path< break apart.. I selected everything BUT the outline of the cartoon character by drawing a box around it, and deleted it, leaving just the outline.
ANyway, my point is, if you see clipart that is EPS files, you can use them on cricut, by first converting to SVG in illustrator. I got a 1 month free trial of illustrator which I am using to do this.
I included an example of a mouse....
