Help! My cuts won’t cut all the way through!

Post by Craftyclo »

Hi all,

I have downloaded SCAL5 and when I send certain fonts such as Calibri to cut it doesn’t cut all the way through the letters on the straight lines. I have used a new blade, new Matt, I have reset my machine and it’s still doing it. The O’s will cut all the way through but the straight lines it only scores the vinyl. I have put the pressure up in increments to the highest it goes as well as the blade height on my machine to the lowest it goes and it still doesn’t work.

Does anyone have any ideas on what I can do as I can’t find anything online!

Thank you in advance!

What cutter brand and model do you own? Can you also post some photos?

Hi Sandy,

So sorry I’ve only just seen this reply. It’s a cricut personal (so very old)!

It won’t let me attach a picture. Let me see if I can do it another way!

Thank you!

I've never supported Cricuts... only other brands, so I can't really advise you on this. I recommended you join this FB group because they support the owners of legacy Cricuts using SCAL5:

Good luck! Fingers crossed for a solution!
