Scal5 crashed and will not reopen

Scal5 crashed after several cuttings, and will not reopen. I have uninstalled and reinstalled several times, and the same thing happens. It starts to open, and then I get a blank page. Any thoughts as to why this is occurring? I am using Windows 10 64 bit. I have also tried installing in the 32 bit. No difference.

I did remember one thing: If SCAL5 won't open, it's often because the Library has become corrupted. Try copying the following folders to a different location, such as your Desktop for now:
Documents>Craft Edge>My Designs
Documents>Craft Edge>My Projects
Then delete the contents back inside those folders. Make sure there are still folders with those names present inside the Craft Edge folder... but that they are empty now.

It is something strange that something like this happens, you should check the memory of your pc to see if it is failing

hi sandy,
I am having the same issue. my scal opens for a second and then closes with an error on my Mac. os 10.15.6. this just started. I have deleted and reinstalled to no avail. should I delete my projects and designs folders? if so, where are are they located. I have scal 4 too, so I am not sure where those folders are. I don't want to lose anything.

The folders are in the same location on a Mac and in SCAL4. Just read my post above.

I have same issue on SCAL5 when changing from cut to draw in cut settings.

Just as a test... please start a new file and ONLY have a single basic shape... like a circle or a square. Then repeat what you were doing that caused the crash. Does the same thing happen? If not, then we know it's the file itself. I will test myself if you send me the file itself (to

Which SCAL version you're on (after updating per my response in a different part of this forum
Mac or PC?
Pro or regular SCAL
Your cutter brand and model
A screenshot of what you see immediately before it crashes.
