Craft Edge

Hello everyone. I am looking for a silhouette like on this cake. I LOVE this and really want to recreate it. Yes, I have emailed the maker of the cake but haven't gotten any response. I "think" I have it fixed. I did go to the scal website and followed link to download info. It had me download a new driver and then the "cake" appeared in the drop down window.

well, it says I don't have the correct firm ware and then tells me to download correct driver. When I go to download the drivers my pc says that Windows does not recognize them and this could harm my pc.
ugh.....what to do??

Please oh please someone answer this question. I am about to go insane trying to print something with my cricut. I just bought SCAL and can't get this to work. I get the same message about firm ware.
help please???
