Craft Edge

Can any of you talented people have a tutorial on how to get an image and make a pop up card.
I try and image and when try to cut it it cut thru the design.

New to inkscape, I try to follow the instructions to no avail.
When I type a letter, I double click on it to see if I can move it but no
luck. Can someone please tell me what i,m doing wrong?

i,m having the same problem. Can anyone tell me why? I do have the full version of sca and I already have updated the design studio.
