Craft Edge

I was just looking at this font and i'd like to design something similar but with different borders. How do i do this in inkscape (i'm an inkscape newbie).

Thank you for that link. I've been looking for stencil fonts for quite a while. This is exactly what i need.
Does anyone know where i can get pictures/images that are stencil quality?

I do see the little breaks in the e, (i don't see it in the P but i'm assuming it's there); how do you make that break in those letters?

I did download inkscape but am feeling overwhelmed at the moment, just getting used to SCAL.
The attachment you posted in unclickable...at least on my end here. I'd love to see what you did to keep the centers of the letters intact.
