Craft Edge

What I'm wanting to do is bring in an object and then type something merging ontop of the object. Then I want the word I typed to be cut through the first object. I hope that makes sense. I normally select my object and the word, then go to weld menu and click on the punch through option.

I'm having to learn sure cuts a lot 3 after using a different software for many years. I'm not finding the option to punch through on a project. Thanks for any help. Sandy

I have always used signblazer so my file ext is sbe. How can I use them in scal
