Thanks for the info but that's not exactly what I'm trying to do. I'm actually trying to get a pencil thin outline around the letter, not a shadow. I don't want a layer behind my letter just around the outside.

How do I go about cutting a thin outline of a letter or even a word?

WE how would I set up to cut a thin outline around that word?
