Craft Edge

Since I upgraded to the SCUT2 (2.038), when I select preview, the welded letters do not appear. Is anyone else having this issue? I did a test cut last night and it still welded the letters. But, I'm concerned that it may not always work and I don't want to waste any vinyl. Any ideas?
