Don't forget to "weld" in inkscape! - i don't know inkscape, but in illustrator you can change the view and see the vector lines - if there are more than one you have to search anything similar to "pathfinder" to weld different -vector-layers into one single! or pm me and send th...

...this sounds as if you have duplicates of one layer laying on the others!
This happens when you convert pictures into vectors!
open the svg again in inkscape/illustrator and delete duplicate lines/vectors!
