Not sure if this will help, but did you restart after update the x11? I installed the x11 and have been able to follow one of the tutorials on Inkscape on my mac. I think I had to restart before continuing. I haven't done much with Inkscape beyond the tutorial. There was no problem or error message,...

I was wondering the same thing - except I have a mac laptop and a windows desktop. Do you think this is allowed? Did you just use the same activation codes on both?
