You should be able to import the .pdf file right into inkscape. If it is a vector graphic (which alot of pdf's are), select the image and hit ungroup until it won't let you anymore. I use Inkscape to create, but I'm almost positive this could be done in SCAL2 also. I will tell you how I do this in Ink and maybe you or someone else can tell you how to accomplish this in SCAL. Once I've created all the text and gotten the porportions the way I want, I make a duplicate of the text...
