Re: Which is a better replacement machine for the Cricut Exp
I'll try to answer you both. The reason I use pdf is as an export really, from SCAL2, of what the item will look like, with the shape around it. It's not so much the image, as it is the outline of the shape, to the image. I have CS2 on another computer & generally just use Elements (quicker load...

Re: Which is a better replacement machine for the Cricut Exp
@talanhart, thank you for that. It is good to know that the Cameo can cut vinyl w/o a mat, & will work with SCAL3. Do you know if you can print to pdf with SCAL3? That is one feature that I like about SCAL2, & really don't wnat to lose it. Thanks mitsim, I appreciate your doing that for me. ...

Re: Which is a better replacement machine for the Cricut Exp
Thanks Mitsim. That's a wonderful piece you made, great job! Sizzix wrote me this morning & told me that it will cut 20 caliper stock, which is great to hear, as I cut many items that use 13.9. The laser preview sounds great, that I can place a piece on there (scrap), & see if it will fit. I...

Re: Which is a better replacement machine for the Cricut Exp
I guess I hadn't looked hard enough sstehman. Do you have a link to that area? What pleases yo so much about the Eclips? What have you sent through the machine? Is the PNC feature that accurate? Did you have to buy your ECAl software separate from your other version of SCAL or did they let you upgra...

Which is a better replacement machine for the Cricut Express
Hey everyone, it sure has been awhile since I have been on. I am thinking about replacing the Cricut with another machine (thanks). But my concern is being able to do what I can do with the Cricut. I am leaning towards either the Sizzix Eclips, or one of the SC machines from USCutter, but am open to...
Re: open path
Feeling dumb, but grateful. Thank you very much, I didn't think of that. I'll give it a try as soon as I can. This may open up so many more doors for me.

Re: open path.. I have this question too
I have this question too. How do I get that open path?

Re: How to cut stickers with in printed margins
There's an autofill? Thanks Terimayo, that may help. Right now I just black out what is in a PDF & save that as a PSD document to import it into SCAL2. My idea was that they are already lined up how they will print. For me, this doesn't always agree in the cut unless I bring the SCAL & the P...

Re: How to cut stickers with in printed margins
Alright, thanks for the help. I was thinking there would be more direct help here, than searching for a video. Of course, I also figured it was something simple. :}) I have never been able to import a png to work properly., Sometimes trace will work a little, but psd have always been the better file...

Re: How to cut stickers with in printed margins
Hi, thanks for answering. Heh, heh, I wasn't looking there for a feature, oops. When I place image, it comes out with blocks or lines (like bad tv reception). No matter if I save the png interlaced or not. Though the file looks fine in an image viewer. Trace really only seems to produce the best res...
