Craft Edge

I'm usually computer savy but I can't figure out how to trace the clip art so it shows up in SCAL. What are the steps? Any advice?

I saved a clip art as a .svg file. Imported it to SCAL but nothing shows (box is blank). Sites I got these on do not seem to have restrictions. What am I doing wrong?
