glass block and card

Here's my newest glass block and a card I made. Recognize those dragonflies? They cut out beautifully, even in a 4x4 card stock but I used vinyl for the glass block. On the toilet, I cut it in black card stock and white vinyl and the t.p. was all card stock. On the inside of the card it says " Hopefully you can "flush" out the past and get on with your life. Once you're on a "roll" you'll be unstoppable". I really don't like that sentiment but couldn't think of anything else. any ideas?

I got the dragonfly design off our forum. Type dragonfly in the search engine and it should come up. I made the Welcome Moose one with SCAL2 which is in another post. There are all sorts of places to find designs. Go to Google and type in sihoulettes ( did I spell that right), find fonts and dingbats that are in a picture form. You just have to search or better yet, make your own. I find a great source of goodies on car decal sites. They are usually in black so are easy to copy and make into SVG files. Another good source are sites that have designs made of metal. They are easy to copy and use (for your personal use)

Hi Linda

The dragon flies look good on the glass block.
I must have a go at doing those.
What did you use behind the vinyl to diffuse the light?
Cheers
Craig

I printed my background on translucent paper (vellum). this particular background is from my PrintMaster greeting card program but on my other blocks, I downloaded some sunsets from Google. I ran the vellum thru my Xyron so the entire thing was covered in sticky. Sometimes glue or tape shows thru on vellum but not when you run it thru the Xyron. I also stick the vinyl( after cutting the design and weeding) on the background before cutting the vellum to the size I want. I found that to be easier. The dragonflies are my favorite!
