I think you mean select all or deselect all, right.

Add to this the ability to select more than one item when working within your design.

Group and ungroup or select and unselect - either (I think) would serve the same purpose as long as you can move the objects around the screen and stretch or shrink the object(s). The thing we need though is the ability to choose which items we want grouped or selected.

group and ungroup means you can select specific objects and characters and group them so that you cna move or manipulate them at will without changing other objects. For instance, if I had three circles, a square and a three letter word on the page, I could select 2 circles and two letters out of the word and manipulate them without changing anything else. It is especially useful for intricate designs.

I would like to see the ability to select a group of items to move around, size and align! The ability to align everything to the left or right would make things so much easier!!

I would love this feature as well. It would make resizing separate elements that have been welded together much easier.
