hey!
I'm pretty nwe with scal, I have been downloading a lot of .scut stuff, but when I click on the downloaded file it opens SCAL but doesn't show anything on the SCAl screen.
What I'm I doing wrong??

You need to open the files once you are in SCAL. It won't work to double click on the file. If it is a scut file use File/Open project. If it is an svg use File/Import svg. HTH

If it is a dingbat font or just a font u have to have that font or it wont show up in scal. Just another tip

I discovered that if I use the import function, then it brings in the .svg files. If you go through the file, load projects, it will show the .scut files. Hope this helps.

I have tried all these things and I cant get one to open. Any more suggestions.

Can you post a link to the scut file you are trying to open?

Here ya go. I have SCAL 2 and inkscape and I cant get it to open anywhere. Tried importing also.

The cutting file is a "SCUT2" file which means it was created in SCAL so that's why you can't open it in Inkscape. Inkscape can open "svg" files.

Here's how to open it in SCAL.

Click the SCUT2 file on the link above (see picture below of where to click) and save to your desktop.

Open your SCAL2 program.

Click File then Open and click on the SCUT2 file on your desktop.

I tried it and it opened without any problem.
