Craft Edge

First let me start by saying- I LOVE SCAL2!!!!! now on to my question:
I watched the Tutorial on Dan's webpage-awesome by the way Dan-anyway:
I understand the layering process and the select all weld BUT everytime I add a design a new layer comes up.
My question is How do I keep more than one design on the same layer ?
Say I'm making a word book Adding the letters to the rectangle stays fine- if I want to add an svg to the same layer
it always comes up in a new color.
And if I try to do the page1 page 2 etc feature than I can't view all the layers together as I'm making it.
I know it's probably super simple I'm just making it harder than it really is, I just need more time to play.

The only way that I know of (at least with vesion 2.004) is to paste the svg into the layer you want it in. I would probably import the file, select the image you want, then use Control X. Select the layer you want it in, then paste it there.

I would leave all of the wordbook layers on the same page, at least until the end. Then you can use the "Send layer to page..." (in the Layer menu) to make them into pages. HTH

When I do the layers, I import the svg, then I copy it and paste that one and delete the imported one...it's a little pain, but works. I too so love SCAL2 and Todd keeps improving it and working out the lil bugs

If it's going in layers then just let it go in that way and then on the layers file delete each layer.. That's all I do..

The copy and paste worked great!!! I copied and pasted the svg file into the layer than I placed the layers in a separate page. Thanks So Much for your Help !!!! I knew it had to be easy I just wasn't getting it for some reason. I just needed more time to play!!!!
