OK I have never made a baby book or word book - never seen them until you all started showing them, anyway one of my husband's workmates became a grandfather and sent some photos out so I wanted to have a play in SCAL so I made a baby book and I am really pleased with the result so thank you all for your inspiration.

Re: Another Baby book
That is really cute. What did you cut it out of? I figured out how to make the letters weld to a rectangle. What size is your book?

You did a fantastic job. I love the paper you used. Has an old-fashioned look to it.

Re: Another Baby book
Thank you all for your comments.
wreed06 I made it out of standard white cardstock and then had a pack of baby papers for scrapbooking and used different papers from that. So I cut it in cardstock first then cut the paper and glued them together. I tried to use some card from a thin cardboard box I had but I couldn't get it to go into the cricut machine so gave up on that.
The front page measures 15cm long (about 6 inches) by 9.5cm high (about 3 1/2 inches). The final page is about 23.5 cm long (about 9 1/2 inches). You are correct all I did was weld the letter to a rectangle - I only used SCAL and I used the shadow feature for the letters. Then I cut the letters again as normal in the contrast colour to stand out a bit more. Just remember to extend the rectangle for each page. The font I used was Goudy Old Style. Then all I did was put a fold line on each page and then punched two holes int he spine and tied a thin ribbon through them all to bind the book.
Thanks to those who have posted their books already here for my inspiration.
