I want to know what the yellow box arount my cuts are at times I cannot move my object due to this box it seems.

The yellow box is sort of a mystery. You will hear different explanations. If it becomes a problem, restricting where you can drag items, for instance, just click out of it and start over. It seems to reset when you do this.
The dotted lines represent the cuttable area. You need to keep your design within this area. SCAL will not do that for you automatically, you will have to do that manually. Always click on the preview button before you cut to be sure you got everything like you wanted it.
