Error Message

I have had SCAL for about 4 months and have enjoyed it cutting with my Expression. I recently bought DS and have activated it. Ever since, when I try to cut with SCAL, it comes up with the message "an error occurred while trying to cut". I searched for a related thread, but couldn't find one. All of my cords are plugged up correctly and my Cricut is on. Everything is the same, except now I have the full DS. Do I need to uninstall and reinstall SCAL? Can someone help me? DS cuts just fine, btw.
TIA,
Vicki

I've heard the the newest version of DS was going to "block" SCAL. I don't know if that has come out yet, but if it has, then that could be your problem....

Hi
Check you have the latest version of SCAL.
What firmware does you Cricut now say when you turn it on?

It's suppose to be the new DS Pro that is speculated to block SCAL again...and I just have the regular one. My SCAL version is 1.016 and DS is 2.1.
Thanks!

Where did you get version 1.016 for SCAL? I have only seen v 1.015.

if you open your SCAL and check the opening screen it will say 1.016

So, I have the current versions of both? I tried everything today to get SCAL to work, but nothing happens once I click 'cut'. I still get the same message. I'm heartbroken with SCAL.

My DS is running version 2.3 which is the version that came out around Christmas time I think.
I don't know if that might be your problem but try re-installing the updated version of DS from
http://www.cricut.com/cds/Update.aspx and see if you have any luck.
Version 2.3 is safe with SCAL.
