New Force owner Does SCAL4 conflict with C3

I am a new Force owner and I am a bit confused. The force machine downloads its internal program C3 when turned on. I am using SCAL4. My questions is does the settings in SCAL override the settings in C3 or vice-a-versa. Do they operate at the same time? Need help
