Won't cut

So I recently got a Mac Computer and just hooked my Cricut up for the first time. I have a Cricut personal. Software 1.3. It wasn't recognizing my machine, I fixed that but now it says I haven't loaded my mat when I have. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Did you recently purchase SCAL2? If so then you need to request your money back since it was a fraudulent sale. Legal copies of SCAL2 have not been available since May 2011.

I have just added my sure cut a lot 2 on my MacBook and tried to cut with my cricuit expressions and I am getting an error... Someone please help me....
