New Computer Old SCAL-- Help?

Hi,
I recently got a new computer, and I installed my SCAL 2.0 (still have the CD), and realized the version is SCAL 2.007 and I really liked the later versions (2.041, 2.043, 2.044) and I looked all over for it at Craftedge.com and did not find any of these versions. Is it absolutely impossible to upgrade it to 2.041 (or other 2.0 versions)? I cannot use SCAL 3.0 since my Cricut is still running strong and no money to buy a new cutter.

Any feedback will be greatly appreciated.

Hi, you can download the last Version of scal2 from a link here...see for scal1 and 2.

http://www.craftedge.com/download/download.html

But the gotcha may be that your New OSystem may be a problem as scal2 was obsoleted a couple of years ago. You might want to shoot support@craftedge.com a support request and ask if you can run scal 2.044 on your new OS, giving them what that is Win8 or Mac mavericks etc whichever is appropriate
Let us know what happens as we really want to help keep you designing with SCAL.

Thanks, I did shoot an email to Support. I will post my findings when I get a reply. It may be useful to those who just upgraded to Windows 8.1.

If you previously purchased version 1 or 2, you can download them here
http://www.craftedge.com/updates

While version 1 and 2 are the last versions to be able to cut with the Cricut, you can use newer versions, such as version 3 to do your design/layout work, and then from the File menu, choose Send to Sure Cuts A Lot 2 to send the design to version 2 for cutting.
