SCAL crashes when hitting ESC

I've tried to do a search on the forums but I can't seem to find a matching post, and I'm not sure where to post this kind of question.. I don't think its a 'bug'. If I should move it, please let me know. :)

When I am working with a shape, and I use the the pen tool I'm having crashing problems. I start a line, complete the line buy adding a node, and then hit escape to stop there, rather than continuing and adding another segment to the line. Many times, hitting esc causes SCAL 3.057 causes it to crash.

It doesn't happen all the time (say perhaps 50%) and it seems to happen regardless of where I am drawing the line - ie. within a shape or outside.

I'm running Windows 7 64bit.

Any thoughts on this? Is there other information I can provide to assist with trouble shooting. :) It's been very frustrating to say the least. I've had to resort to saving everytime I want to use the pen tool...

Thanks for any help. :)

I'm not sure about pressing escape to end a line, I use "return". See this post for more conversation. I hope this helps.

Well, I have narrowed down my problem more. When I use the pen tool, and I click outside of the path, it produces a line with handles. I can click to add nodes just fine, but once I want to end the line (ie. before I add another node), by hitting enter, that is when it crashes. Testing it a bit more I find that it is when I am holding down the mouse button and moving to another point that hitting enter is the problem. If I control-z to get rid of it, it doesn't crash. *shrug*

This isn't a big problem for me as I usually am not interested in the line, and have created it by mistake. :)

Anyway, I thought I would follow up with the specifics in case its a bug or others are having similar problems.
