open control panel

click on classic view - click on the fonts folder. This will make a new window pop up. This new window has two sections. One section has the folders and the other has the font you already have on your computer.

on the folder section (the one on the left) left click on the font folder.

A menu will appear. clcik on installl a new font. a new window pop-ups.

The new window has three little windows. you choose the one where you put the font you want to install.

hope this helps.

If I am working with a font I don't use often, I don't even install it. I just go to the folder where I have it saved (not my windows system folder) and double click on the font. This opens up a window showing the font in several sizes.

THEN I open up scal, and the font is listed in the fonts available to use. I am in XP, but imagine this would work similarly in Vista.
