Craft Edge

I cannot get SCAL2 to recognize my USB ports but I know that they work since I connected my Cricut and used the Cricut Craft Room to cut something. Can anyone help? I've gone into my Device Manager and changed it from COM9 to COM2 and still nothing. However, the system recognized it yesterday as I was cutting the same file I'm trying to cut now. Any help will be appreciated.
