Hi Susan, Thanks, :) I wish I could say I found a eaiser way..... :( but no I manually traced it. With something like this with both sides symmetrical I just concentrate on the one side and just select all and duplicate it. It takes awhile but I love the result I get. I always find that if I can find a image in black and white line drawn I love how I can trace in SCAL with just the touch of one button, then I just ungroup, pull apart and tweek what needs tweeking....

Thanks
Susan ;)

I did the same thing Susan, if the design is symmetrical then only trace one side and duplicate, flip and align it.

I did mine in inkscape.

manual tracing is not as bad as it sounds. you zoom in and just click where you have a change of direction, once you go around and back to the beginning, you can then drag the lines to match curves etc.

it also gets quicker the more you do it :)

I love love love this Thanks again so much but I have an older version of SCAL is there anyway to save it as an older version? I cannot open the scut 3 file.

You only need to change the extension at the end of the file name from scut3 to scut2 and it will/should work. If in doubt duplicate the scut3 file and then change the extention to scut2.

Let us know if it worked!
