Alignment Issues - Cricut Expression with SCAL2

Just unpacked my Cricut after moving house today to start crafting again to discover a major problem. When I have tried to cut anything in SCAL2, my start and finish cuts don't meet so I don't get a full shape and files with multiple shapes in are overlapping or not regular (they look fine on my screen).

I just wondered if anyone else has had this problem and how you resolved it. I'm very wary of doing anything with my machine as I don't want to jeopardise my use of SCAL2.

Looking forward to any advice or ideas on how to solve this.

Kath

check the machine and that the carriage is on that track correctly. also check in scal that if you have the option of overcut it is not at 0 or something (1 or 2 mm is a good overcut)

I don't use that machine so have no other ideas.

hope someone can shed more light on it for you

maybe you have to reset the cutter.

I'm just worried if I reset my machine I won't be able to use SCAL2 anymore and it's this software I use all the time and isn't available for cricut any more.

I believe resetting just resets the carriage, blade.

Is your blade housing going all the way to the right when you finish a cut? I had a problem with my housing being out of alignment for awhile and my cuts were off. I unplugged my Cricut and that made it go back to the correct starting position.

I know this was so long ago, but i just bought SCAL 2 to go with my sillouette. I have moved and have no internet service. When i go to cut my letters are really off and if i try an svg that came with my SCAL it goes off of the matt. Ive asked in several fb pages but noone knows the answer.
