Mac Book Pro questions please

Post by cnowlin »

I have a MacBook Pro that was running both Windows 7and IOS 10.8.2 for the Mac. I Updated SCAL this summer for the PC side of my Mac. When I started having so many issues and my computer was in the shop 4 times in two months, I decided it was time to get rid of the PC side and only run my MAC operating system.

Here is my dilemma--I have a Cricut and Black Cat Lynx. I know I can run my MAC sith SCAL and the Black Cat. However, many times I go to scrapbook at my DIL's house or to a weekend crop. When I travel, I usually take my Cricut. I have already dropped my Lynx when I returned from a cropping weekend and had to have it replaced with a new one--bummer! I cannot do that again.

Here are my questions:

1. What version for the Mac can I use to get the Cricut to work? I am assuming the new version will not work.

2. Is SCAL running smoothly for you on the MAC using the LYNX

3. I have used SCAL before and had no problem on th PC side. Is there anything I should be aware of for the Mac side?

Thanks for Your help.

I have no idea on the first question, I would not use a crapcut if you gave it to me.

I run scal & scal pro on my macbook pro and not had any problems

not aware of anything "different" between the mac or pc - maybe a few keys are different we have ctrl, alt & cmd where pc has ctrl, alt & windows keys but then I don't use scal on the windows side of my mac

as to the "portable" option, have you thought about/looked into a cameo for crops etc
